- Watched a documentary for on Marian McPartland today for a story on Examiner.com. She is said to be a synesthete. Then, after looking at Wikipedia, we realized it was her birthday today. The odds are, one out of 366, this being a leap year, one out of 365 the rest of the time ... Yeah, I've had a few lucky guesses over the past few days, but this is getting ridiculous ... My trick? The ability to "see" music. The curse? Occasional bouts of overstimulation, or, what I call, "Information disease."

He said his basic problem was his bosses had no idea what to say, due to the unknown elements in the crisis. It really had nothing to do with the facade of corporate interests.
